Former wrestling Olympic gold medal winner Henry Cejudo will take on his first opponent with a winning record in Ryan Hollis at Legacy FC 24. Cejudo will donate a portion of his purse to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, in a way to inspire others.
“If it’s me putting the whole building on my back to inspire others, then that’s what I’m willing to do,” said Cejudo to Sherdog. “I fight for a better world. I don’t fight to beat people up, but if that’s what I have to do to get my message across, then that’s what we’re willing to do.”
When Cejudo didn’t qualify at the 2012 Olympic Trials, he quickly jumped into MMA. He’s 4-0 and stopped each win within five minutes before being signed by Legacy FC.
Hollis is 4-1 as a pro and will enter off four consecutive wins. It’s Legacy FC appearance number three for the Texas native.
They can be seen on today’s main card of Legacy FC 24. It comes from the Allen Event Center in Dallas, TX and airs on AXS TV.
