Kron Gracie wants to be better than his father Rickson and he may prove that soon enough, as the 25-year-old might be done with jiu-jitsu competition. The Brazilian is ready to knock on the doors of MMA.
“I believe I’ll make my MMA debut next year, that’s my next step,” said Gracie to TATAME. “I would move away from jiu-jitsu competitions for a while to focus on that. It’s you and another man going to war. It’s truer than jiu-jitsu.”
The jiu-jitsu black belt held a 51 fight win streak of submitting every opponent.
Rickson was a perfect 11-0 in his MMA career and retired in 2000. Like his son, all those wins came via submission.
