The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has confirmed that both Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock tested positive for banned substances following Bellator 149.
According to a report by MMAjunkie.com, Slice was flagged for the steroid nandroline, while Shamrock tested positive for the same steroid and methadone. The latter is used to treat heroin addicts.
Both fighters face a $5,000 fine and year-long suspension, though they can get those reduced if they reach a settlement by the end of March.
Slice defeated “Dada 5000” in the co-main event, while Shamrock lost to Royce Gracie in the headline fight on Spike TV.
