Kelvin Gastelum Makes A Move In Latest UFC Rankings

Fresh off a victory over Jake Ellenberger, Kelvin Gastelum has climbed four spots to seventh in the latest official UFC rankings.

The former Ultimate Fighter winner is still unbeaten in his MMA career, including a win over the previous Top-10 Ellenberger. Ellenberger fell four spots to 11th overall.

Stipe Miocic passed Mark Hunt for fourth in the heavyweight rankings, while Fabio Maldonado moved up to 13th at light heavyweight, placing him in a tie with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

At middleweight, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza slipped past Vitor Belfort for second, while Tim Boetsch and Mark Munoz again flip-flopped for 13th. Edson Barboza moved up two spots to 11th at lightweight, tying Michael Johnson for the position, while Jorge Masvidal fell a pair of spots.

Erik Perez at bantamweight is now 12th, up a spot over Alex Caceres, while Tim Elliott is ninth at flyweight – one position ahead of Zach Makovsky.

The overall pound-for-pound Top-15 saw Ronda Rousey slot in at No. 7 ahead of Anderson Silva this week, and Dominick Cruz do the same at 12th ahead of Belfort.
