Kelvin Gastelum took the opportunity to make a push for his next fight, calling out Anderson Silva after knocking out Vitor Belfort Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 106.
“I’m on a legends (expletive) whooping tour,” Gastelum said. “(How about) Anderson Silva next in Rio in June?”
Gastelum, who moved up to middleweight where he is unbeaten after issues making the 170-pound limit, looked in perfect condition as he floored Belfort twice on clean punches. The former Ultimate Fighter winner also holds a win over ex-UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks to his resume.
UFC 212 takes place June 3 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and features Jose Aldo vs. Max Holloway for the unified featherweight title.
