Kelvin Gastelum’s name has come up in regards to talk of the next UFC welterweight contender.
Gastelum, who won The Ultimate Fighter over Uriah Hall after being the last pick for Chael Sonnen, is set to meet Tyron Woodley later this month at UFC 183.
UFC president Dana White mentioned recently that Gastelum could vault his way to the top of the pack with a win, which came as a surprise to many. Rory MacDonald was declared the No. 1 contender last year, but officials have since signed him to face Hector Lombard.
Gastelum believes MacDonald is the next challenger to Robbie Lawler, posting so on Twitter.
I believe Rory should get title shot!
