Josh Paiva may have just won the King of the Cage (KOTC) junior flyweight title, but he’s already looking towards the future. While Paiva isn’t certain what’s next, he’s back in the gym waiting on word about his first title defense.
“I feel like I’m on the right path,” said Paiva to MMAWeekly. “I’ve been stepping on the right stones at the right times and the right opportunities. I feel like this is my destiny. I guess I’ll wait for someone to try to take my title. Until then I’ll get back in training and have some fun and go to work.”
The 22-year-old is undefeated in his short career at 4-0. After two wins for KOTC, Paiva finished Zach Lari in the main event of their last show.
There’s no return information regarding Paiva.
KOTC: Unprecedented was August 17 from the Gold Country Casino & Hotel in Oroville, CA.
