Josh Burkman is staying with the World Series of Fighting after “working” out his disagreements with the promotion. Burkman aired his grievances on Twitter, but has come to terms.
Ali Abdelaziz, an executive with the WSOF, told MMAjunkie.com that “everything is good.” Burkman (27-10) will face the winner of Rousimar Palhares-Jon Fitch for the welterweight title, likely later this year.
“Josh has done some incredible things in his last five fights with us,” Abdelaziz said. “He’ll get another shot at the belt after Rousimar Palhares and Jon Fitch fight in June.”
Burkman has won six of his last seven, with the lone loss being to Steve Carl for the inaugural title last October. He scored a knockout victory vs. Tyler Stinson this past March.
