Joseph Duffy showed off the skills that helped him deal Conor McGregor his last loss Saturday night.

Duffy, making his Octagon debut, defeated Jake Lindsey with a high-kick followed by a knee to the body at UFC 185.

While he didn’t make mention himself of a future rematch with McGregor, his trainer did.

According to Joe Rogan, Firas Zahabi stated that Duffy (13-1) would drop from lightweight to featherweight in hopes of working his way towards a meeting with McGregor.

On this night, though, it was all about Duffy. The Irish fighter demonstrated his incredible quick hands and excellent striking skills.

“The kick caught him up high and I knew he was hurt,” Duffy said. “I saw him protecting his head and I dropped back down to the body.”

Duffy earned a submission victory with an arm-triangle choke in just 38 seconds when he faced McGregor in 2010. He’s gone 6-1 since, losing only to Ivan Musardo in 2011 via submission.
