Right after Anthony Pettis won the lightweight title he called out featherweight champion Jose Aldo. The superfight wasn’t booked, but Aldo wouldn’t mind making it happen on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).
“Being a teacher of TUF would be an honor for me,” said Aldo to TATAME. “It would be good if it happened in the light so I can steal his belt.”
The featherweight champ was realistic that it’s difficult to air on TV since they speak different languages.
Aldo has been the featherweight kingpin for years and Pettis has finished three straight fights in the opening round. The most recent win gave Pettis his first taste of UFC gold.
Pettis returns opposite Josh Thomson at UFC on FOX 9 and Aldo has no return information.
