Stealing a line from former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, Jose Aldo was not impressed with Conor McGregor Sunday night at UFC Fight Night 59.
Aldo, the reigning UFC featherweight champion, was cageside for the main event. He will meet McGregor later this year, and the two had an impromptu face-off outside the Octagon.
“No, no, I was not impressed,” he said. “It took over a round. Dennis Siver is a seasoned veteran, but he is not of the caliber I have fought before. I know what I am going to do to him.”
The Brazilian remained calm and cool while McGregor screamed at him, showing even more of his typical nature afterwards.
While Aldo has spoken out against the nature of the Irish fighter, he did admit it is great for him, great for the UFC and great for the division.
“This will be the biggest fight this weight class has ever seen,” he said. “He is just a court jester to me.”
