Jon Jones will face a New Mexico judge on September 29 to plead on a felony charge.
Jones has not appeared inside a courthouse since April after an incident earlier this year involving the former UFC light heavyweight champion hitting a car being driven by a pregnant woman. Jones also left the scene of the crime, but turned himself in a day later after the accident.
The UFC stripped Jones and put Daniel Cormier against Anthony Johnson to crown a new champion.
Jones is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving great bodily harm or death, which carries a max sentence of three years in jail and fines.
