UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will appear in the Albuquerque Metro Court this afternoon at 1 p.m. local time following his release Monday night.
Jones was booked in the Bernalillo County Metro Detention Center on a felony charge after an arrest warrant was issued in his name. “Bones” was involved in a hit-and-run that left a pregnant woman with a broken arm.
His attorney, Vincent Ward, fielded questions from reporters after Jones was released upon posting his $2,500 cash-only bail. He did not say anything as he left the detention center and into an awaiting vehicle.
Ward said Jones planned to continue training for his UFC 187 title fight vs. Anthony Johnson, adding that he is “taking this very seriously.”
