UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was named to the Forbes “30 Under 30: The Sports World’s Brightest Young Stars” list, the publication announced recently.
Jones is coming off another successful title defense, having bested Daniel Cormier. He is 21-1 in his MMA career, including 15-1 with the UFC.
He is the only MMA personality to be listed, joining the likes of James Harden, Novak Djokovic, Joe Flacco, Rickie Fowler and Alex Morgan.
Below is the summary from the article on Jones:
“When he won UFC’s light heavyweight title in March 2011, Jones became the youngest UFC champion of all time. The New York native still holds the belt, which he will defend against Daniel Cormier at UFC 182 in January 2015. A win would mark his ninth title bout victory, which would be good for third-most in UFC history.”
