UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones did not enter a plea on Tuesday during his first court appearance steaming from an alleged hit-and-run incident in New Mexico over the weekend.
Jones had the travel restriction against him lifted with a continuing bond. He posted a $2,500 cash bond Monday night after an arrest warrant was issued with a felony charge.
On Sunday, a vehicle rented to Jones struck a car driven by a 25-year-old pregnant woman who suffered a broken arm. He has been accused of leaving the scene of an accident involving death or personal injury.
The charge carries three years in prison.
Previously, Jones was charged with DUI and he also had a failed drug test for cocaine prior to facing Daniel Cormier for the belt.
Jones is set to meet Anthony Johnson May 23 at UFC 187.
