Another rematch has been planned for UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, as “UFC Tonight” reported Wednesday that he will face John Dodson.
No date for the bout was made, but the planned fight was stated by UFC president Dana White.
Back in 2013, Dodson took Johnson to a decision, but “Mighty Mouse” retained his title.
Since, the 28-year-old Johnson (22-2-1) has been one of the most dominant fighters in MMA, finishing Kyoji Horiguchi, Chris Cariaso, Joseph Benavidez and John Moraga. He also earned a decision over Ali Bagautinov.
Dodson (17-6) is on a three-fight win streak since that defeat, returning from knee surgery to best former Bellator champion Zach Makovsky in May. He also finished Moraga and Darrell Montague.
