John Dodson hasn’t fought since he dropped a flyweight title bout to start the year. He’s ready to bounce back with an impression by making quick work of newcomer Darrell Montague.
“I always see my hand being raised,” said Dodson to Sherdog. “I’m not going to be second guessing. I want to knock his head off, finish the fight and get back into the title hunt.”
The flyweight division is still young and a strong performance could place him high in the rankings.
Dodson was undefeated for the UFC before losing the title fight. He’s 14-6 and has finished three UFC wins via his fist.
Montague is one of the top flyweights in the world and is 13-2. He fights mostly from California and last submitted Jesse Miramontes.
Catch them on the main card of UFC 166 on October 19. It’s from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX.
