Joe Lauzon was ahead on the scorecards when an Octagon-side doctor ruled the end to his UFC Fight Night 50 contest with Michael Chiesa.
While both fighters picked up an additional $50,000 as “Fight of the Night” for their efforts, Chiesa isn’t happy with it. He immediately protested the decision, and has since asked for a rematch – even offering to return his bonus money to make it happen.
Lauzon doesn’t appear interested in such a thing, taking to social media to get his point across.
“Accept the loss like a man, or the UFC can send me your FoTN check and we do it again,” Lauzon wrote.
Chiesa, a former Ultimate Fighter winner, seems content with that, replying back “Don’t be scared homie.”
After a few more exchanges, the two decided to “squash” the beef and agree to meet up for “cheeseburgers” the next time they run into each other:
@JoeLauzon Agreed it's squashed. Great fight, I'm still a fan and no love lost. Cheeseburgers on me next time we cross paths.
