Jeremy Stephens sent an eerie silence through the Brazilian crowd at UFC Fight Night 32 Saturday night, knocking out Rony Jason with a kick to the head.
The move impressed several, including main event fighter Dan Henderson.
Henderson, who faces Vitor Belfort, was shown in the back getting his hands wrapped. When he heard the reaction to Stephens’ knockout, he simply looked to be in shock.
UFC president Dana White posted on Twitter, “HOLY (expletive)! Big KO Jeremy Stephens.”
Fellow UFC fighter Joe Lauzon made it known that the prove in the power for Stephens is legit.
“People always ask who has hit me the hardest,” he wrote, “and I always tell people it was (Stephens). That is why.”
