UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has made an impact on the promotion since winning the title with a convincing victory over Carla Esparza.

After her most recent title defense, a victory vs. Jessica Penne, Jedrzejczyk stated that she would like to compete on the same card as UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.

And now, it appears as if she might get her wish.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Jedrzejczyk (10-0) will defend her title against Claudia Gadelha at UFC 195 on January 2 from Las Vegas in the co-main event to Rousey vs. Holly Holm.

Gadelha (13-1) has suffered just one career loss, a decision to Jedrzejczyk. She rebounded with a dominating performance over Jessica Aguilar, but did suffer an injury during the win.
