UFC president Dana White wasn’t the only one disgruntled over no referee stoppage between Jessica Andrade and Rosi Sexton. At UFC Fight Night 30, Andrade connected with 206 significant strikes in a one-sided affair.
“I was surprised she didn’t go down,” said Andrade to MMA Fighting. “I thought that the referee would stop the fight or should go down some moments during the fight, but she survived — and that’s good because the fight was more exciting for the fans.”
White said after the fight, the referee should be taken to the back and punched repeatedly to understand the nature of his decision to not step-in.
The win makes Andrade 1-1 for the UFC. She lost her debut to Liz Carmouche.
Sexton is now 0-2 for the promotion and might need another company to employee her. She has spent time in Bellator and Cage Warriors.
UFC Fight Night 30 was October 26 and came from England’s Phones 4u Arena.
