The World Series of Fighting (WSOF) is getting into WMMA. They’ve announced the signing of Jessica Aguilar, one of the top pound-for-pound best female fighters in the world.
She is expected to make her debut in January at 115 pounds. No opponent is known. The 31-year-old has won seven in a row with majority of those for Bellator. In October, Aguilar defeated Megumi Fujii.
WSOF vice president Ali Abdel-Aziz said there are no concrete plans to create a women’s division.
Bellator released Aguilar when they chose to stop running WMMA bouts.
