For Jan Blachowicz, everyone inside the Zagreb Arena Sunday was against him, including opponent Igor Pokrajac.
However, Blachowicz kept his heavy favorite status from being spoiled, pulling out a decision victory at UFC Fight Night 86.
“It didn’t matter how I won,” he said, “all that matters is that I won.”
The 33-year-old Blachowicz (19-5) snapped out of a two-fight losing skid at the hands of Corey Anderson and Jimi Manuwa. He had made a splash in his Octagon debut two years ago when he finished Ilir Latifi as part of a six-fight win streak.
Pokrajac was making his return after winning three fights outside the promotion. He was born in Zagreb, Croatia and had the support of the crowd behind him.
