Jacob Volkmann Calls WSOF 6 Opponent Luiz Firmino Not Dangerous

Jacob Volkmann isn’t concerned about Saturday’s World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 6 meeting with Luiz Firmino. After less than 30 minutes of studying tapes, Volkmann figured out Firmino.

“He’s not a dangerous guy, except for he throws these hooks, these overhand hooks that can get kind of dangerous,” said Volkmann on Sherdog Radio. “They get you in the side of the head and the back of the head, but his standup’s not the greatest. His ground game is average.”

After a 6-4 run with the UFC, Volkmann joined the WSOF. He took a decision from Lyle Beerbohm in his debut for the promotion.

Firmino is a former DREAM and PRIDE fighter. His last three wins have come from CFA to improve to 16-6.

They are set for the prelims of WSOF 6 on October 26, which stream online.
