Current UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and middleweight title holder Anderson Silva were both nominated in the ”Best Fighter” category for the ESPN’s ESPY Awards on July 19th.The other two contestants that were nominated were professional boxers Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao.
In previous years, former UFC 205-lb. champ Chuck Liddell and current welterweight king Georges St-Pierre were nominated to receive the award, however both were outdone by their boxing counterparts.
