WEC 41- MMAJunkie.com is reporting that Jamie Varner will once again defend the WEC lightweight championship against Donald Cerrone. The two had faced each other at WEC 38 this past January, however the fight was stopped short due to an illegal knee from Cerrone to the downed Jamie Varner. While Varner has yet to compete since that bout, Cerrone defeated James Krause last night at WEC 41, beating him in the first round via submission with a rear-naked choke.

- If you missed last night's show, Versus will re-air WEC: Brown vs Faber II on Wednesday, June 10th.

- MMAJunkie.com is also reporting that the attendance for last night's show was 12,706 (10,110 paid), despite the announced attendance of 13,027. That was enough to pull in a $815,415 gate, which broke the 12,682 attendance and $738,855 gate records set by WEC 34 last year.

- Urijah Faber skipped the post-fight WEC 41 press conference last night to have his right hand checked out, and learned that he suffered a broken hand in his loss to Mike Brown. Faber posted X-ray pictures of his broken hand on his Twitter last night. You can view the pictures by clicking here.
