It is being reported that the UFC has set a date for its Heavyweight title unification bout between Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar. UFC 98 appears to be the card as the event looks like it will be taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada.Lesnar competed against Mir in his UFC debut at UFC 81 in a submission loss to the former Heavyweight champion.
The table have turned a little bit as Mir has improved but Lesnar now holds a victory over former champion Randy Couture, which gave Lesnar the Heavyweight title.
Mir also owns the "interim" title that he won after he defeated Antonio Nogueira at UFC 92.
MMAMania was the first to report the fight, an announcement is expected in the near future.
