Silva and Rampage Rumble at the Weigh-ins
December 26, 2008
By Fightline.com Staff, FightLine.com Staff
Quinton 'Rampage' JacksonIf UFC 92 is half as intense as the weigh-ins were today, fans are in for a treat.

Following a very tense staredown, Wanderlei Silva and Quinton Jackson engaged in a brief tussle and had to be separated by UFC staffers.

Jackson started the brief fracas by lightly pushing Silva's arm while saying something to the former PRIDE champion, who responded with a full out push to Rampage's chest. The two men were then separated and escorted off of stage with Silva yelling at Rampage. Rampage then shot out one of his trademark howls before leaving the stage to wild cheers from those in attendance. One thing appears certain - the beef between these two is not manufactured.

Silva, who has defeated Rampage twice before while the two fought for PRIDE in Japan, has stated repeatedly that he doesn't like Rampage personally and is looking forward to fighting the former UFC light heavyweight champion for personal reasons. Should be an intense contest.

As for the rest of the weigh-in, all fighters made weight and are ready to go for tomorrow's event.
