Satoshi Ishii's Dream Is The UFC

DreamOlympic Judoka gold medalist, Satoshi Ishii, had originally stated that he wanted to fight Fedor Emelianenko in Japan after winning his gold medal at this past Olymipic games. It seems that now he doesn't even want to compete in Japan.

"The UFC is where I [want to] fight." Ishii told Nikkansports (translated by MMAFighting).

With no MMA resume to his name, Ishii is hopeful that he can ride his Judo credentials to a shot in the UFC.

After the UFC's taking a shot on Brock Lesnar, anything is possible. Especially with the UFC's desire to get into the Japanese market after their Pride buyout collapsed with the Japanese fans not willing to participate in the UFC's version of their beloved MMA promotion.
