The UFC Clarifies Their Marketing Campaign
November 21, 2008

UFCWith the massive amounts of media covering UFC 91, many had the perception that the UFC was hitting mainstream. Apparently the UFC doesn't think so as a pitched marketing campaign was turned down by the promotion.

An image of a battered football player on crutches was the heart of the marketing ploy attempting to show that the UFC has put a dent into "mainstream" sports.

Earlier today, the UFC clarified the issue stating:

Zuffa, LLC was made aware of the internet presence of several photographs from an advertising campaign that was proposed but rejected by the UFC®. Zuffa has not endorsed these photos, nor are they part of any approved UFC® advertising campaign.
