Tyson Griffin vs. Sean Sherk Round 2: Sherk started aggressive and was landing more punches than Griffin early in the round. They stayed standing and Griffin landed some good body shots and leg kicks. With two minutes left in the round, Griffin started to get the better of their exchanges. Griffin's looking really tired. Another great round, FightLine.com scores it 10-9 for Sherk. Round 3: Griffin rocked Sherk early. They stayed standing the entire round banging. Great round to end a great fight. Close round, FightLine.com scores it 10-9 Griffin. Winner via unanimous decision (30-27,29-28,29-28): Sean Sherk Despite it being a great fight, the crowd still booed Sherk when the announcement was made. Anderson Silva was shown arriving to the building earlier in the day. Cote was then shown, looking like he was going to a business meeting. A promo for UFC 91 was shown. Fabricio Werdum vs. Junior Dos Santos Dan "The Beast" Severn was shown at ringside. Round 1: Werdum looks the largest I've ever seen him. Dos Santos out of nowhere clipped Werdum with an uppercut and knocked Werdum out. Winner via KO (strikes) at 1:20 in Round 1: Junior Dos Santos Georges St. Pierre was shown at ringside. Rich Clementi vs. Gray Maynard Round 1: Maynard landed a couple of good shots about a minute into the round. Clementi landed a couple of good inside leg kicks. Slow round with Maynard finally taking Clementi down with about 1:30 left in the round. Maynard stayed on top of Clementi and wore him down with ground and pound to finish the round. FightLine.com scores it 10-9 for Maynard. Round 2: The two started standing but Maynard got another big takedown on Clementi about 90 seconds in the round. As Clementi worked his way up, Maynard hooked in a standing guillotine, but Clementi was able to get out. Maynard took Clementi down again. Maynard stayed dominant on the ground to finish the round. Another 10-9 round for Maynard. Round 3: Maynard started the round by taking Clementi down again with a big slam. While Maynard was working the ground game, the referee kept telling the fighters "Let's go", which was annoying Joe Rogan. Clementi was eventually able to get back to his feet, only to be taken down again by Maynard. Maynard stayed dominant on top to finish the round. FightLine.com scores it 10-9 for Maynard. Winner via unanimous decision (all judges scored the fight 30-27): Gray Maynard The crowd booed the fight and Maynard in the post-fight interview. Rashad Evans was shown at ringside. Silva is leading Cote in the mobile texting by 68% - 32%. That's closer than I would have thought. Thiago Alves vs. Josh Koscheck Round 1: Alves rocked Koscheck early with a left hook and nailed Koscheck with a flurry of punches, but Koscheck was able to recover. It almost looked over right there. Alves hit a head kick and Koscheck answered with punches. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Alves. Round 2: They stayed standing early in the round and Koscheck nailed Alves with a head kick. Alves kept nailing Koscheck with leg kicks. Finally with a little over a minute left in the round, Koscheck shot for a takedown but Alves defended it. Closer round, but FightLine.com scores it 10-9 for Alves due to the leg kicks. Round 3: Early in the round, Alves rocked Koscheck and it almost looked over again but Koscheck was able to recover. Koscheck got poked in the eye and took a minute to recover. Shortly after, Koscheck accidentally poked Alves in the eye and he needed a moment. Alves nailed Koscheck with a hard leg kick that almost swept Koscheck off of his feet. Koscheck kept attacking and Alves nailed Koscheck with some hard shots to end the round. Apparently Alves didn't hear the buzzer and kept fighting and the referee had to tell him that it was over. Another 10-9 round for Alves.
A trailer for Transporter 3 was shown. Anderson Silva vs. Patrick Cote Round 1: Cote started the fight with leg kicks. 90 seconds into the round and Silva has yet to attempt a strike. Finally Silva landed a couple of leg kicks. Silva was able to hit a big knee on Cote which cut Cote. Slow round, but Silva did damage with the knee so I'd score it 10-9 for Silva. Round 2: Silva connected with a big kick early and Cote hit a spinning back fist before the two clinched against the cage. Silva hit another big kick before taking Cote to the ground. Silva nailed Cote with some hard knees to the body to end the round. Patrick Cote is the first person to last past the second round against Anderson Silva in the UFC. 10-9 Silva. Round 3: Right as the round started, Cote fell to the ground and grabbed his knee, seemingly blowing his ACL and Herb Dean called off the fight. Winner via TKO (ref stoppage) at 0:39 in Round 3: Anderson Silva
