UFCSpikeTV has just announced that they will air both UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin and UFC 87: St-Pierre vs. Fitch on consecutive weeks leading up to UFC 89: Bisping vs. Leben on October 18th, which will be free on Spike.

The UFC has recently been airing their previous Pay-Per-View events on Spike and that success has led to the UFC to start showing more to help hype up their events.

It’s an extremely smart marketing decision for the UFC to broadcast past events in their entirety on Spike before their next event. UFC 89: Bisping vs. Leben is being seen as one of the weaker UFC event.

During the re-broadcast of UFC 84: Ill Will on SpikeTV, the UFC also threw it post-fight interviews after the fights to give a different feel to the airing, and it would make for them to do it for both UFC 86 and UFC 87.

The first event, UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin, will air on October 4th at 9PM ET and will be followed by UFC 87: St-Pierre vs. Fitch on October 11th, which will also be at 9PM ET. This will both lead to UFC 89: Bisping vs. Leben on October 18th, which will air via tape delay at 9PM ET from the U.K.
