EliteXC has reached a major deal with CBS that will allow them to showcase thier brand of MMA in a primetime slot on network TV. The first of these events is scheduled for May 31 and will feature Phil Baroni and Murilo Rua. Sherdog.com originally reported that the two men had verbally aggreed to meet one another in the cage and this information has been subsequently confirmed with our sources in Brazil. Rua is coming off of a big win against Xavier Foupa-Pokam and will face a battle tested Baroni who suffered a loss in his last fight via TKO at the hands of Hawaii's Kala Kolohe Hose.

Robbie Lawler vs. Scott Smith
Murilo Rua vs. Phil Baroni
