| Rashad Evans Wants Forrest Griffin |
| November 19, 2007 By Fightline.com Staff, FightLine.com Staff |
Rashad Evans has unfinished buisiness with Tito Ortiz and has been clamoring for a rematch since his draw with Ortiz at UFC 72. However, according 15rounds.com, it appears that he has set his sights on another opponent - Forrest Griffin.“If the fight happens, it happens,” said Evans referring to a fight with Tito Ortiz, “I mean Tito is super Hollywood now. He’s doing the Apprentice. It really doesn’t seem like it would be the same to fight him anymore. I want to fight somebody else now – like Forrest Griffin,” Rashad Evans vs. Forrest Griffin would be an intriguing match up as a title eliminator type fight. However, there is increasing speculation that Griffin may be slated as one of the coaches of The Ultimate Fighter Season 7 opposite Quinton Rampage Jackson. If this turns out to be true than it is likely that Evans will have to turn his attention elsewhere for the time being.
