Hours after being removed from UFC Fight Night 107, Ian Entwistle announced his retirement from MMA.
Entwistle was slated to meet Brett Johns, but the fighter suffered issues while attempting to cut weight. After agreeing to a catchweight bout, officials pulled the fight completely.
“Won’t cut weight again given myself some health problems,” Entwistle wrote on social media. “Need to fix (those problems) before I can move on with my life. Believe me we don’t understand the risks.
“This is my retirement.”
The 30-year-old fought three times for the UFC, going 1-2. He is 9-3 overall in his career.
