Former UFC female bantamweight champion Holly Holm isn’t familiar with the position she currently finds herself in.
Holm enters UFC Fight Night 111 and her main event bout vs. Bethe Correia having lost three consecutive fights.
However, that doesn’t mean the ex-boxing world champion feels like MMA has passed her by.
“Absolutely, I still feel like I’m in the mix,” Holm said recently on The MMA Hour (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “I still feel like I’m competitive and up in the top, so you never know when that next opportunity can come.”
After besting Ronda Rousey for the title, Holm was defeated by Miesha Tate last year. She lost to Valentina Shevchenko and was bested by Germaine de Randamie in a fight to crown the first-ever UFC female featherweight champion.
