Khabib Nurmagomedov is unbeaten in his career.
After taking out Pat Healy Saturday night at UFC 165, Nurmagomedov believes he is worthy of a future UFC lightweight title shot. The belt is currently held by Anthony Pettis, who will face Josh Thomson later this year.
“UFC, Canada, there is a gentleman who is 21-0, 5-0 in the UFC,” stated the fighter of himself. “UFC, give me a title shot. I am ready.”
The Sambo national champion from Russia had little trouble taking Healy down. And, when the bout was standing, he picked him apart with effective uppercuts and strikes.
Nicknamed “The Eagle,” the 25-year-old has earned back-to-back decision victories after a knockout of Thiago Tavares to start 2013.
