Ovince Saint Preux will get the chance to compete in his home state, as the former Tennessee Volunteer takes on Glover Teixeira at UFC Fight Night 74.
The bout was announced as the main event for the August 8 card from Nashville during “UFC Tonight” Wednesday. It will be held inside the Bridgestone Arena.
Saint Preux (18-6) has won two straight since a decision loss last year to Ryan Bader. He is 6-1 overall inside the Octagon, including finishes vs. former champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Patrick Cummins, Ryan Jimmo, Nikita Krylov and Cody Donovan.
Teixeira (22-4) has lost two straight, falling to Phil Davis and former champion Jon Jones. Prior to that, he had gone eight years without a loss.
