Francisco Rivera has done everything he could to overturn a loss to Urijah Faber that came under controversy due to an accidental eye poke.
After going before the Nevada Athletic Commission on Tuesday, Rivera’s pubic relations manager posted a message on Twitter to end the matter.
“While not in agreement with the decision of NSAC regarding the Faber vs Rivera fight outcome, Cisco & team respect it. Cisco would like to move past the fight at this time to focus on his training and career.
“He continues to thank you all for the support.”
Rivera (10-4) was handed a second straight loss when Faber locked up a choke in the second round.
