Josh Grispi, who fought for the UFC from 2011-13, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife twice over the span of four days, including allowing his pit bull to maul her, according to a report by the Taunton Daily Gazette.

Grispi, 25 years old, is being held on $100,000 bail and faces domestic abuse and assault charges. He entered an innocent plea on Tuesday in Wareham District Court.

“It’s the worst case of domestic abuse I’ve ever seen,” police officer Richard Harvey said.

Harvey added that Grispi’s wife was “chewed up” by the animal and was in the hospital. A pot farm, weapons and ammunition were all found when the family home was searched.

Grispi is charged with two counts of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of violating a restraining order, animal cruelty, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, drug possession to cultivate marijuana and improper storage of a large capacity firearm and rifle or shotgun near a child.

Following a fourth consecutive defeat in early 2013 to Andy Ogle, Grispi (14-5) was released. He lost to Rani Yahya, George Roop and Dustin Poirier between 2011-12 after starting his career with 14 wins in 15 matches.
