Former Bellator fighter Bubba Jenkins has signed a contract with Absolute Championship Berkut.
Jenkins, who won gold as a wrestler for Arizona State, will face Ali Bagov at ACB 54 on March 11 from Manchester.
Below is a press release:
ACB continue to show the international pulling power of their promotion as another top fighter puts pen to paper to sign a multi-fight deal with the organisation.
Joining the ever-growing ranks of the ACB roster is Bubba ‘The Highlight Kid’ Jenkins. Bubba made his mark on the collegiate wrestling scene with multiple accolades including the highest of them all when he became the All-American NCAA Division One Champion. With this high-level wrestling base Bubba transitioned well into MMA and developed an all-action style that has seen him finish 7 of his 11 pro victories and that has aptly earned him the nickname of ‘The Highlight Kid’!
With an impressive pro record of 11 wins and only 3 losses, Bubba has made a mark in every promotion he has fought for. Fighting 11 of his 14 under the Bellator banner he has been in there with some of the toughest 145lbers on the planet but for his ACB debut he will be stepping up not only in weight class but also in talent as he will be taking on ACB’s 155lb wrecking machine Ali ‘Hulk’ Bagov in his debut in Manchester on just 1 weeks notice!
This is a mammoth task that the new signing is taking on as Bagov has finished 21 if his 22 wins within the 1st round and has 21 of those victories by way of submission but Bubba believes he is up to it and with an impressive win over Bagov in the Lightweight division he feels he will jump the queue for a title shot when he returns to the Featherweight ranks post ACB Manchester.
ACB Manchester goes down on March the 11th.
