Following Anderson Silva Injury, Alves-Barberena Promoted To UFC 198 Main Card

Warlley Alves and Bryan Barberena will get the opportunity to kickoff the UFC 198 main card in style, as the two have been promoted to the pay-per-view portion of Saturday’s lineup.

Officials announced two changes after removing Uriah Hall from the card. Hall was slated to meet Anderson Silva, but the former champion was forced out with a gallbladder issue.

Alves and Barberena moved up from the FOX Sports 1 prelims and were replaced by Yancy Medeiros vs. Francisco Trinaldo.

All the action now starts at 6:30 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass.
