The site posted on Tuesday that Aldo-Anthony Pettis will take place August 3 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.Aldo successfully defended his belt vs. Chad Mendes in 2011, and that fight also took place in Brazil. "Scarface" topped Frankie Edgar earlier this year.
Pettis, a former WEC lightweight champion, offered to move down to 145 pounds for a chance to face Aldo and compete for UFC gold.
The HSBC Arena will serve as the host site, according to the report. The bout has been linked to August since it was first announced, but no location was made known.
