After a dismal MMA career, Bob Sapp looks for a reboot when he takes on newly turned MMA fighter Ewerton Teixeira."We negotiated the fight three months ago and it will happen," said Sapp's manager Luiz Carlos Dorea to TATAME. "It's just missing a signature on the contract."
Sapp is currently 11-16. Since 2008, he is 2-14 and has lost 10 in a row. Only one of those recent fights made it past round one.
Teixeira made his MMA debut last year and is undefeated with two wins. Those wins came against Raul Bazanes and Edinaldo Novaes, with the most recent occurring in January. The former K-1 fighter went 11-3 during his kickboxing days.
Sapp vs. Teixeira takes place April 4 in Ceará.
