Anthony Johnson was a welterweight as late as 2011. He has since continued to pack on the pounds and makes his heavyweight debut in the main event for World Series of Fighting (WSOF).

"I never thought I'd be fighting at heavyweight," said Johnson on The Fight Nerd. "I like to challenge myself and what better way. Right now, it's a onetime deal."

Johnson earned four consecutive wins last year. One was at catchweight and three as light heavyweight. He had a run in the UFC that saw him miss weight on several occasions before being released.

If the WSOF wants Johnson to remain as heavyweight, he is open to the idea as he currently walks around at 235 pounds.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski meets Johnson in the main event of WSOF 2. That happens March 23 from Revel Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The NBC Sports network will air the show.
