Cub Swanson Debates Weight Class Change

Cub Swanson has been a featherweight for nearly seven years. The idea of possibly returning to lightweight or even a heavier division has been on his mind lately.

"I could [move up]," said Swanson on The MMA Hour. "I've been walking around at 180-185, but I think I'll stick around at 145 for a while. I think maybe someday I'll move up."

As a lightweight Swanson was 6-1, only losing in his professional debut. After joining the WEC and later UFC, Swanson has gone 8-4 while trying to move up in the featherweight division.

This weekend, at UFC on FUEL TV, Swanson returns against Dustin Poirier in the co-main event. Swanson will look for his fourth straight win on the February 16 card from Wembley Arena in England.
