Josh Janousek-Michael Kuiper Scratched From UFC On Fox 6
By Dana Becker | January 21, 2013
Michael Kuiper has once again lost a scheduled opponent. And this time, no replacement will be named by the UFC.
UFC officials announced on Monday that Josh Janousek has been forced out of a planned meeting with Kuiper for this Saturday's UFC On Fox: Johnson Vs. Dodson event. The fight was expected to stream live on Facebook.
Janousek(8-1) was tabbed to replace Buddy Roberts and make his Octagon debut. Roberts was initially a replacement for Caio Magalhaes, who was a replacement for Thiago Perpetuo. The Perpetuo-Kuiper bout was originally part of UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Bisping's undercard.
Kuiper (12-1) is 1-1 in his UFC career. He defeated Jared Hamman in his latest fight after falling to Rafael Natal.
