When Wanderlei Silva (34-12-1-1 NC) and Brian Stann (12-5) meet in the main event of UFC On Fuel TV, the Brazilian feels that there is no need for 25 minutes of action as one of them is getting the knockout win."This fight will surely end in a knockout," said Silva to TATAME. "Someone will get the knockout and I hope it is me."
While Silva was certain that the fight wouldn't go the full five rounds, he was training as if it might. Their meeting will be the first time in six years that Silva competes in front of a Japanese audience. Silva spent years in Japan competing for Pride, where he made a name for himself. He was their first middleweight champion and took part in the Grand Prix several times, winning it in 2003. Since Silva rejoined the UFC in 2007, he has only been 3-5.
Stann comes into the fight after losing to top middleweight contender Michael Bisping (23-4) at UFC 152. He is 6-4 under the UFC's name.
The two will meet in a light heavyweight bout at UFC On Fuel TV on March 3. They will headline out of the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
