Mike Goldberg: Rumors Of Drug Rehab Are Not True

Mike Goldberg, who was replaced for the recent UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez II event as play-by-play announcer, has released a statement denying recent internet rumors that he is in drug rehab. Jon Anik took Goldberg's place alongside Joe Rogan for the December card.

"I'm doing well," said Goldberg, in a statement to MMAFighting.com. "Those rumors out there are not true. I'm dealing with a complicated health issue but feeling better and hoping to be back to 100-percent by Jan. 26. See you soon."

The date mentioned is UFC On Fox: Johnson Vs. Dodson, which would be the next scheduled card Goldberg would announce. Anik has handled the FX and Fuel TV cards since the UFC started airing events on those networks.

Shortly after UFC president Dana White commented that he did not know when Goldberg would be returning, rumors of an addiction started swirling. Goldberg, 48 years old, has worked with the UFC since 1997.
