Eddie Alvarez Lashes Out On Twitter About Not Being Able To Compete
By Joseph Lisnow | January 04, 2013
Both promotions have expressed interest in signing Alvarez. The UFC offered him a contract, but due to a policy in his original Bellator deal Alvarez was not able to sign immediately. Bellator was allowed to match the UFC's deal and have done so.
UFC president Dana White said at UFC 155 that contract negotiations were about to take a turn for the ugly and that appears to have happened as Alvarez lashed out on his Twitter account recently. Alvarez has not fought since a first round KO over Patricky Freire at Bellator 76 in October.
Below are the tweets that Alvarez fired off, but they don't mention any specific promotion or person by name.
I dont know if I can stay quiet any longer , I am very close at just saying F!@# it !!! Sry 4 all the BS guys, things will get figured out
